BioCreate is funded by Ontario Genomics and a Government of Canada investment of over $5.6 million, through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario). The program connects highly vetted companies with $150,000 in seed funding, 18 months of business mentorship and access to critical infrastructure. They’ll also get the opportunity to pitch to investors for further funding. BioCreate has selected all the companies in the program. Since 2023, 288 SMEs applied and only 32 have been welcomed into the accelerator for an 11% acceptance rate.
