HATCH Venture Builder Gain market traction and grow your company The HATCH Venture Builder program provides established, UBC research-based venture teams with the space, resources and expertise to scale their business. While in HATCH, ventures work towards a transformative commercial goal such as closing a Seed or Series A investment, completing major commercial partnerships, achieving repeatable sales, or completing an asset or company acquisition transaction with the mentorship of dedicated Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EiRs). Together with the Institute for Computing Information and Cognitive Systems (ICICS) , we provide the guidance and resources for entrepreneurs to achieve their greatest potential. Ventures will build on our foundational and operational programming, office space, and have access to shared wet lab space or HATCH Makerspace (located at ICICS). ICICS' world-class makerspace provides an environment where early-stage companies can technically de-risk their innovation, build their teams in collaborative office spaces, and access technical interns and an alumni network.
