Program Description 2026 Applications: Coming Soon Program details and application timelines for 2026 are currently being updated. Please check back soon. The IPF Pre-Application Training Program For Northern Producers is an intensive project development program for up to 12 independent Nunavut, Northwest Territories, and/or Yukon-based producers to improve their applications and success rates when applying for development funding for their Short Form Series. The program will run as a precursor to the IPF Short Form Series Development program. In association with the Independent Production Fund (IPF), Nunavut Film Development Corporation, Northwest Territories Film Commission, and Yukon Media Development. I took a lot from the experience thanks to the support from IPF and producer-in-residence Brendon Sawatsky at Whistler Film Festival, and all of the wonderful instructors brought in to mentor the group. Most importantly, I learned how to create a competitive funding application which is useful as I continue applying for funding moving forward.
