Indigenous Internship Program (IIP) — Joint Economic Development Initiative Indigenous Internship Program (IIP) Indigenous Internship Program (IIP) JEDI partners with host organizations to provide job placements to recent Indigenous post-secondary graduates. The IIP participants benefit by gaining on-the-job experience, skills, and capabilities in their field of study with a long-term objective of securing full-time employment with the host organization. Hosting an IIP Businesses looking to host an intern should submit the following to JEDI: A letter describing the organization’s interest in hosting an intern An orientation plan for the intern A work plan, including anticipated knowledge and skill outcomes for the intern Who can be a Host Organization?
